Just call me Hank. I live in and love New Orleans. Tennessee Williams said that there are three great cities of “flavor”, of “color” in the United States… New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. I agree. (Except, nowhere is the food any better than New Orleans.)
At LSU, I majored in English Lit and minored in Speech, both in the honors programs. (That is how you become a salesman. You major in something with which you cannot make a living.) So, many, many years later, I am finally going to do some writing.
I love to tell stories, and never hesitate to tell my best stories over and over. My wife, Cynthia, and my two stepsons, Louis and Jason grimace and hold up fingers indicating how many times they have previously heard a particular story.
After hearing some of my stories, wonderful niece Elise suggested that I write the stories. And…since one of my best friends, Benny is a genius webmaster…. Here’s my blog.
In the summer of 2015 I visited with some awesome cousins in San Francisco. I was delighted that they were interested in hearing me tell about our mutual Korn family ancestry that I had been researching for nearly forty years. Recently, I have been sending the family story to them in chapter form which is now going to be available to everyone on this blog under the heading “Korn Family History”. So, before I begin writing my favorite stories, I’m going to finish the Korn history.
Welcome to my blog!
